Gourmet Cheese Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Pork
  • 1 lb. Ground Hamburger (80/20 mix)
  • 1/4 Cup Progresso Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Canola oil
  • Kosher or Sea Salt - right before they go on the grill Apply liberally or to taste

Instructions

  • Mix the ground pork and ground beef with the pepper and breadcrumbs (gently, don’t over work the meat)
  • Form into patties
  • Use your thumb to press down a divot into the middle of the patty. This makes sure the patties don’t bulge in the middle when cooking. - Remember this tip!
  • Coat with a light coating of canola oil and sea/kosher salt right before putting them on the grill.
  • Cook for 5-6 minutes a side on high heat for medium-medium rare. Or better yet, get the Meater wireless temperature probe:-)
